Professional and (very importantly) nice people!
Centurion did a wonderful job building a new build office and guest studio in a paddock adjoining the existing house. They looked after it from breaking ground to a high quality finished product, attending to all details and making sure everything was compliant.
For personal reasons we were often absent, but they used their initiative and ensured that the project stayed on track. In all, we could not be more happy with the finished product and that the whole process was well co-ordinated, delivered on budget, and involved dealing with both professional and (very importantly) nice people!

The quality of the work was outstanding and delivered by such a friendly bunch of workmen, in particular Matt and Brian. Nothing was a problem and everything was explained whenever we asked. We requested quite a few extras and these were finished in outstanding quality, again exactly how we wanted and advice given to us throughout.
Thank you Alan too, for being on hand whenever we had a question and the reassurance you provided us was greatly received, we didn’t have to worry about anything as we knew you had it all in hand.

What a great job the whole team did
Following completion of the work that Centurion Developments carried out on our oak-framed garage, outbuilding and wine cellar, I just wanted to write and say what a great job the whole team did. We were especially pleased with the quality of the work, the care and the craftsmanship. The challenges thrown up by an old house were overcome professionally and the finishing touches were first class, with the team consistently being able to interpret our requirements.
The team were at all times polite and courteous, and always turned up with a smile on their face! It was a pleasure to have them on-site. All members of the team also had a good eye for detail. a methodical way of working and were always clean, tidy and respectful.
I would undoubtedly use Centurion Developments for further projects, and would recommend them to anyone else!

Centurions’ expertise working with oak frame buildings was evident right from our first meeting
Centurions’ expertise working with oak frame buildings was evident right from our first meeting with Alan Davis and then right through to the completion of the project. The scheme also included the construction of a new vehicular access and associated driveway, the building of which required special attention to the preservation of several mature trees. Our site manager, Scott Frost managed the build like a military operation, his entire team were skilled, helpful, on time and put in a full day whatever the weather. Every man committed to their tasks with pride. The standard of work was exceptional. Problems were solved quickly and expertly. Both Alan and Scott were committed to delivering us our perfect building and responded enthusiastically to help us reach our objective. They listened, communicated and were flexible. Such was their attention to detail it was often that my list of questions or changes were already noted by Scott and put in hand!
Centurion adhered to both the schedule and budget. I have been working with property for all my professional career and I am qualified to say that Centurion delivered on all accounts.
We are already in discussions with Alan and his team regarding our next project…

The A Team … from Centurion turned up on time, and I knew straight away they knew their trades
June 2020 (Covid would be banished soon ho ho) sitting in my garden, recently having told my working life good bye hello travel … Maybe not and maybe a new (person) shed to sit in painting and drinking. In the sun .. July 2020 Sunday magazine Prime Oak advert well a bit more ambitious than my shed idea… emailed requesting their free planning visit …. This very quickly happened social distancing … also visit to Prime Oak head office as soon as the world started to open up … seeing all the possibilities… and to see my plans they had prepped .. (big thank you Gary) for knocking down very old leaky badly built utility area attached to my 168 year cottage …. The shed in the garden long forgotten… and creating a new utility area plus multi purpose sun room and patio area … I signed up straight away my travel plans were not going to happen might as well get the builders in … … taking their advise on builders … that they knew and knew their product.
Fast forward 4th January 2021 The day Alan promised for work to start to get base ready for delivery date of Prime products … The A Team … from Centurion turned up on time, and I knew straight away they knew their trades, polished wellies but could not test the hand shake because of Covid but from the first minute importantly they kept me informed of every process and any unexpected situations …(I don’t like to say problems there is always resolve ) they had possible resolutions immediate to hand explaining so I understood and listened to my questions … never having been involved in anything more than recent kitchen and bathroom remodelling ..…
They worked through weeks of rain/mud/cold to comply with timetable …incredible. They project managed everything plumbers bricklayers electricians plasterers … who were all great. I have now got a wonderful new addition to my home. I had investigated moving home before I started on this journey, but no .. why would I. this is going to make being at home and sharing with very jealous friends an absolute pleasure and a very wise investment. Great getting to know you all …Loved the coffee break conversations … and Importantly… Lemon drizzle cake reigns supreme of course …

Alan took all the stress away from the build, with the right care and sense of humour
Well where do we begin, I can’t say enough about Alan and his brilliant team. From the first to the last day they were professional throughout. His lovely friendly team were great to have around - so tidy and helpful - such a credit to Alan himself.
The communication between ourselves and Alan was first rate...a builder that answers his phone/returns calls...fantastic! We were always kept up to date and any unforeseen issues were sorted out quickly and thoroughly.
Alan took all the stress away from the build, with the right care and sense of humour. Prime Oak must be so happy that they have a building team in Centurion that they can rely on and trust so completely.
We will miss seeing “the lads” and Alan and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We now have a wonderful kitchen, master suite and garden room extension
We appointed Centurion Developments on the recommendation of Prime Oak and before we did, we visited two projects that both companies had worked on together. One of these clients had two projects completed by Centurion.
In 2017, Centurion demolished an existing detached workshop/pool house and removed an old swimming pool for us. They then prepared the site at this location and completed groundworks allowing Prime Oak to install the oak framed multi-purpose building. Centurion completed all the finishes and services in the building and we were very impressed with their approach, reliability and the high quality of work.
We had no hesitation in appointing Centurion for a second time in 2019 for a large and complicated 2 storey extension on our main house, again in conjunction with Prime Oak. There were a number of unknown areas of scope as 2 floors of a 1930s extension were demolished whilst retaining part of the existing roof. Centurion dealt with this added complexity in a calm and professional manner and worked through all of the challenges presented (known and unknown). The groundworks and rebuild to accommodate three oak buildings, as part of the extension, was delivered precisely to the dates and dimensions required by Prime Oak.
We now have a wonderful kitchen, master suite and garden room extension – the works also included a full upgrade of services throughout the original house. Other scope included a new shower room, refurbished cloak room and a complete overhaul of the attic. Outside, Centurion completed a lovely patio area around the Garden Room which required merging with our existing patio which is on a higher level due to our sloping site.
One point worth mentioning is that we were able to live in the house whilst all the work was going on which for a job of this size and level of intrusion is unusual. This was all thought through carefully and when necessary, openings were boarded up to minimise disruption to the areas we were occupying. The phasing of the work also meant that we always had a fully operational kitchen throughout.
We can’t thank the team enough (and they had to cope with the disruption of COVID19 towards the end too). They are all a pleasure to work with and create a nice atmosphere on site. We are really delighted with our finished projects and have no hesitation in recommending Centurion.

Centurion have worked wonders during the build
This is to express our delight at the workmanship and professional attitudes of all the tradesman we have encountered during the construction of our delightful Prime Oaks orangery, the company your salesman advised us to use as our builder “ Centurion” have worked wonders during the build, starting on the ground works in February after probably one of the wettest years we have had the Centurion team never complained and all got on with the job in hand, then followed the Corona Virus, social distancing introduced a few alterations but again the Centurion team bubble with additional hand cleaning introduced allowed us to continue to make progress within a safe virus limited environment a real team effort, your installers / construction staff also took on this social distancing and again continue in a professional manner making, good quick progress on the frame, allowing the rest of the internal alterations to proceed on plan, we also enjoyed the
Prime Oak time lapse photo shots taken and produced. Living in a Grade two four hundred old building having Centurion as our builders has provided us with peace of mind knowing that the builders understood and respected the old construction methods used in construction but were also ready to exploit modern methods adding additional insulation as required so enhancing the existing house and reducing our running costs.

I am writing to thank you for the work you and your team at Centurion Developments did to demolish our flat roof kitchen and conservatory and rebuild with an oak frame and pitched roof. We are delighted with the new living space, and just importantly we are impressed with how you managed the whole project, coordinating with the Oak Frame provider, the electricians, the plumber, the tiler and the kitchen provider. I really feel that we got value for money, and we liked the fact that you were able to come up with smart, creative solutions to things that were uncovered as the work progressed, and to changes we decided to in flight, and your flexibility given we were still living in the house.

We would like to extend our enormous thanks to the whole team at Centurion, and to Lee who project managed throughout, for the wonderful job they did - from the initial groundworks to the final laying of the patio and internal finishing touches to our conservatory and garage block.
We have been overly impressed with the workmanship and the finishing off.
The job was not straight forward, requiring an archaeological dig and tree maintenance monitoring during the project, working through one of the wettest winters, and then continuing through Covid-19 on the exterior works to complete the project.
Despite these trying conditions, problems were met with solutions and at every stage the team were professional, helpful, and maintained a great sense of humour. Alan, you have an amazing team working for you!
We would highly recommend Centurion Developments, and we would definitely use the company again.
